Earth Day is an annual event on recognized by the UN on 22nd of April, to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG for 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. The Park House Eco Club empowers students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. The Eco Club is celebrating Earth Day with the following activities for all students.

  • Art of recycling - using recycled materials to make a piece of artwork.
  • Poster competition – produce a poster to raise awareness of either litter or plastic and how to reduce it, or a poster on raising awareness of energy saving or minimising water usage.
  • Designing an Eco Code using the PHES initials.
  • Poetry competition – writing a poem with an “environmental” theme.
  • Earth Day Pledges
  • Earth Day Quiz

We can all do something to make the difference against climate change.
