Safeguarding policy

Safeguarding policy

At Park House English School, safeguarding and welfare of our pupils is our highest priority. We are fully committed to creating a safe, caring and positive environment for every child. All staff and volunteers share this commitment and are regularly trained to recognise, report and prevent any form of abuse or neglect.

Our safeguarding policy ensures:

  • Clear procedures for identifying and reporting concerns
  • Safe recruitment practices for all staff and volunteers
  • Ongoing training and awareness for our whole school community
  • A safe environment where children can learn, grow and thrive

If you have any concerns about a child’s welfare, please contact our safeguarding team immediately.

Park House English School is committed to a culture of safety and transparency. We expect staff and volunteers to maintain professional boundaries and avoid any behaviour - real or perceived - that could lead to or be construed as abuse. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines child maltreatment as any act of physical or emotional ill-treatment, sexual abuse, neglect or exploitation that results - or is likely to result - in harm to a child. This occurs within a relationship where the perpetrator holds responsibility, trust or power over the child.
